FLUID's trip to Oberammergau!
Hiking, Alpine coaster and Pizza by Oberammergau. Finally, after a break of more than 2 years due to corona, we headed out for a fun event with the whole FLUID team!
For this year’s offsite, we traveled with the train, a beautiful route passing lakes and villages leading us to Oberammergau, a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen which is located in the Ammergau Alps Nature Park.
From there we hiked to an alpine hut where we strengthened ourselves with lunch, coffee and cake while enjoying the beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. We were lucky with the weather, the rain caught us only on the hike down to the Kolbensattel from where - on 1,258 meters above sea level - starts the Alpine Coaster - the first and world's longest toboggan run with magnetic brake. 73 curves at a top speed of 40 km/h down into the valley - with rain in our faces - what a ride!
All the more cozy it was to cuddle up afterwards in a cozy pizzeria enjoying delicious pizza, pasta, wine and beer and let the beautiful day come to an end together.
